In accordance with the SMGA By-laws, we will be holding a general election for the 2010 Board of Directors in October (the date of the meeting will either be Saturday, October 17, or Tuesday, October 20, depending upon whether we choose to combine the meeting with a proposed tournament on October 17).

A Nominating Committee was formed to discuss and propose nominees for the 2010 officers. Ron Zarcone, Terry Retter, Dr. Jim Fischer, Wayne Griffin, and Curtis Chan were the members of the Nominating Committee and met on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Nominating Committee is proposing the following slate for the 2010 Board of Directors:

President - Dave Hughes
Vice-President - Wayne Griffin
Secretary - Curtis Chan
Treasurer - Greg Peters

In accordance with the SMGA By-laws, nominations in addition to those proposed by the Nomination Committee, may also be submitted in writing by two (2) members of the general membership. If you are interested in running for or nominating someone for a position on the 2010 SMGA Board of Directors, please submit your nomination by email to the SMGA email address: somersettmga@gmail.com. Write-in nominations will be allowed until October 10, 2009.
