Tiger’s Back! And it’s
Masters Week! The official 2010 golf season is almost upon us.
To add a little more
drama to the tournament and to raise money for the SMGA, we're having a Masters
Pool.
Simple rules:
Pick 5 players, your team is your best 4 players each day
$10 per team (Entry fee has to be at the clubhouse prior to the start of play)
($5 goes to prize fund, $5 goes to SMGA)
Sign-up online (SMGA Masters Pool) or at the clubhouse.
Teams and scores will be posted daily at somersettgolf.com
See official rules and players list for full information.
GOOD LUCK and ENJOY THE MASTERS!
Official Rules:
·
$10/entry
($5 goes to the prize fund and $5 goes to the SMGA). Entry fees must be paid in
cash and dropped off at the club prior to the start of the tournament
·
Entries
will be accepted up until the 1st players tee off on Thursday, April 8, 2010.
·
You can
enter multiple teams, but each team costs $10
·
Pick 5
players playing in this year's Masters.
·
Each day,
the highest score for your team will be dropped and your team score will
consist of the scores from your lowest 4 players.
·
Players
that don’t make the cut will be given a score of the worst score for the day
(Saturday and Sunday) + 2 strokes
·
Example:
You pick John Daly for your team and he doesn’t make the cut. On Saturday,
Colin Montgomerie (who made the cut) shoots an 88. John Daly would then score a
90 for your team on Saturday.
·
If you
pick someone who is not playing at the Masters this week your player will score
a 90 for all four days and you will be made fun of by all of the other pool
participants.
·
The
winner of the pool is the 4 person team with the lowest total score.
·
Tiebreakers
(applied in order):
1.
Any team
with a 1st time participant beats a team with no 1st time participants.
2. Any team with a pre-Tiger era (1997) past champion beats a team
with no past champions.
·
If we
have >20 participants, then we'll pay 30% of the prize pool to the leader
after round 2 and 70% to the winner after round 4. If there are <20
participants, we'll pay out 100% of the prize pool to the winner after round 4.
Teams and scores will be
posted daily on-line at somersettgolf.com
