Don't forget, this Thursday, September 24, 2009, will be the final chance to be one of the 2009 Monthly Mug winners. 4:00 pm shotgun start with net Stableford scoring for the Monthly Mug and the usual assortment of other team and individual competitions (Gross Twos, Net Skins, etc.).

This final Monthly Mug event is especially important for those of us who don't already have a Mug (like Jim Fischer, Bill Carollo, John Sande, Dick Vogt, Wayne Griffin, etc.) because all 2009 Monthly Mug winners will be eligible to participate in the 2009 Monthly Mug Overall Championship which will take place during the final official event of the 2009 SMGA season on Saturday, September 26, 2009.

The 2009 Monthly Mug Overall Champion will be the first to have his name added to the Annual Mug Stand and be allowed to keep his Monthly Mug in the clubhouse for all of 2010 (all other 2009 Mug winners will have to take their Mugs home at the start of the year). This means if Wayne wins, we'll have to hear about it for all of 2010 and we can't have that happen.

So do the right thing, come out and win the Mug on Thursday, and try and stop Wayne from winning the 2009 Overall Mug Championship.
